Battle Reenactments

Since 1996, our group has attended nearly 125 reenactments throughout the US! We’ve been to the hallowed grounds of Gettysburg, Antietam, Cedar Creek, Fredericksburg, Manassas and many many more important locations. We attend ~5 events a year, mostly in the Spring, Summer, and Fall (better weather!). Members attend as many as they can!

Authenticity is our modus operandi. Our members bring their own period-specific camping and reenactment equipment with them to each event and coordinate transportation independently. For newcomers, we have equipment for you to borrow to see if you enjoy Civil War reenacting prior to making a purchase.

Battles not for you? We also have “civilians” that attend the event with us. This is great for families and youngsters not yet old enough to be out on the battlefield. Imagine yourself as a Medic, a Seamstress, an Art Maker or Musician… as anyone who would have been in the camp during this time.

We travel with our unit-owned 3” ordinance rifles (cannons!) and limber boxes to the events. Annual dues member’s pay go towards maintaining our equipment and for purchasing artillery rounds to fire at the battles. We also have training days and sessions to make sure everyone is completely safe using this powerful and explosive equipment.

Don’t forget about food! Our meals are coordinated by the members ahead events. We can accommodate any diet with advance notice! All meals are cooked in in the fashion of an 1860’s military and civilian camp.
