Events
Member Events
We are an inclusive and fun family-friendly group! We have two annual meetings about the group’s activities for the year, we have annual work days to keep our equipment in pristine condition, and we have fun ad-hoc social gatherings.
Battle Reenactments
We travel to major and minor historical battlegrounds to reenact the battles with as much historical context as possible. These are typically multi-day and include a completely immersive living history experience for all members, military and civilian.
Living Histories
Interface with the general public in full 1860’s period attire and persona to answer questions so people can see how life was and the different ways people at that time did things from quilt making to washing clothes. We explore how often strict gender roles were at the time and responsibilities were divided in the home.
Educational Events
Similar to our Living Histories events, we also partner with local school districts to engage children with history in an impactful way. Our presence and stories light up their imaginations and inspire them to learn more about the past.
